While the cannabis industry in North America has grown exceptionally fast over the past few years, it is often overlooked how fast the same market has grown in the United Kingdom and the rest of Europe. In a new development, it has emerged that Code Cannabis Investments, a subsidiary of the investment company Codebase Ventures Inc, has invested in World High Life PLC, which is also an investment company and is engaged in working in the CBD, medical cannabis and wellness space in Europe and UK.
On the other hand, World High Life has also been making its fair share of deals in recent days. On October 18, the company announced that it had acquired the biggest supplied of CBD and hemp products in the UK, Love Hemp Ltd. The deal has been struck for a price in the range between CAD 15.2 million and CAD 16.9 million. The deal is poised to make Love Hemp one of the biggest hemp operators in Europe and it goes without saying that it is a massive deal for World High Life.
The cannabis market is growing rapidly in Europe and it is likely that the investment is going to prove to be a good one. Speaking about the investment in World High Life, the director at Codebase Brian Keane said, “This is a tremendous combination that gives Codebase shareholders excellent exposure to the thriving CBD markets in the UK and Europe. Love Hemp is a brand that has experienced tremendous success and is primed to lead the industry’s growth throughout the UK and into Europe. “It goes without saying that the hemp market is still nascent in Europe, but it is growing at a decent pace at the moment.
